Teaching All Students: A Guide to Accommodations and Modifications

Teaching All Students: A Guide to Accommodations and Modifications

Description

The goal of this course is to assist the general education teacher with understanding their role on the IEP team. Also, to assist both general and special educators in developing, implementing and sustaining appropriate accommodations and  modifications to meet the needs of students. For many students with disabilities—and for many without—the key to success in the classroom lies in having appropriate adaptations, accommodations, and modifications made to the instruction and other classroom activities.  Being able to provide ample opportunities for success to all students requires a clear understanding of the needs of each individual student. Every student has a unique learning style, and some students require more help than others. Students who receive special education services have a plan in place to identify the type of support that’s needed.

This course is intended to meet the re-licensure requirement for accommodations, modifications, adaptation of curriculum, materials and strategies as approved by your local continuing education committee.

Participants earn 1 CEU For course completion.
