Description

This course is intended for participants to learn how to write an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). What is an IEP? Why do we write IEPs? Are you new to special education and want to write a great Individual Education Plan (IEP)? Are you returning to special education and want to write a great IEP? Participants will learn how to write an IEP that meets MDE requirements. The entire IEP process will be covered and this workshop focuses on each section of the IEP. Topics covered: IEP Meeting, Student Information, Present Level of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP), Goals & Objectives, Secondary Transition, Services, Accommodations & Modifications, Assessment, Prior Written Notice, and Progress Monitoring & Progress Reporting. 

The videos associated with this course are approximately 3 hours in length.
